How often does our music look like a mess, with dozens of pencil scribbles which are hard to pay attention to? Instead of marking up a score with many stages of annotations and corrections, I use these colorful Post-it stickers. The clear part goes right over the notes and is perfect for fingerings and other short ideas to jot down. The colorful part draws your attention so you can’t miss it, which is perfect for “current” mistakes. Once the issue is corrected, take the sticker off and the score is much cleaner! In the photo, I made a note to pay attention to a modulation into E minor and to arpeggiate a chord when repeating a section of a Bach Partita.
