Announcing New Workshops

I am excited to announce some new zoom workshops in January!  Many of you own the score of Bach Cello Suites For Piano and have read my notes. This type of analysis is crucial for understanding  Bach’s music and appreciating it even more.  In my 2-hour workshops this January, we will take a close look at the scores together and follow Bach’s process, revealing the basic units, their development and structure of each movement and Suite. Click here for the dates and times, which are suitable to those of you in European time zones as well.  Although this will be of most help to pianists, anyone who can read treble and bass clefs and has minimal knowledge of music theory (scales, intervals and triads) is welcome!  In addition to workshops on Cello Suites 1-3 and Cello Suites 4-6 there will be 2 sessions focusing on the phenomenal Prelude, Fugue and Allegro BWV 998, which is believed by scholars to be a reference to the Trinity. Spots will be limited so do sign up soon and email me if you have any questions.
